Here are some potential locations for guide services or small group workshops.

Guide services are designed to get you to locations for your exploration and/or independent photography. Let me know what you are looking for. If I don't know the territory, I'll be upfront with you.

One-on-one or small group workshops are designed to get you to locations and/or advance you faster than would happen in a larger group workshop. Because of the small group size, you can expect more on-on-one attention than you would get in a larger workshop.

These are locations that I have explored and photographed extensively. Your trip will be custom planned based upon timing, weather, meals, housing and transportation needs. Click on any of the links to see sample images or contact me if you want to see more than shown.

Prescott, Sedona and surrounds - This is my home territory and I know it well. I will see to it that you have productive sessions as we monitor the weather throughout the day. Round rocks, square rocks, red rocks and reflections. I highly reoommend the summer monsoon season or fall color in late October and early November.

Grand Canyon National Park - South and North Rims (also east rim but access is difficult) - good at any time of year, but especially during the monsoon season (July, August, early September) and right after a good snowfall. We will seek out the best locations depending on lighting and weather. Single day trips are possible, either all day, or one afternoon and the next morning. Recommended 2-4 days.

White Pocket, Arizona (and surrounding areas) - If you haven't been to this remote photographer's paradise, you are in for a treat. Overnight camping (gear can be arranged) is recommended for the best light, but it is possible to drive in and out at night. We can add South Coyote Buttes or The Wave if your schedule permits and we can get the necessary permits. 

Joshua Tree National Park - Rocks of all shapes and sizes as well as the personality plus Joshua Trees. The busy season is November - mid-April. Generally good any time of year (maybe not late May and June). In a good year and with the right weather conditions, the Mojave Desert offers wildflowers and wind turbines. 

Death Valley National Park, including four of the top sand dune fields in the U.S. - You can spend a week in DVNP and still not see everything. Your itinerary will be determined by your wishes and weather. Too hot May-Oct 15, but great any other time.

White Sands National Park - October 15-April 15, but best with no snow. We will stay in nearby Alamogordo. 

Yellowstone National Park - Recommended late Spring and early Fall.

Kofa Wilderness, Arizona - Good any time of year. Cactus, ocotillo blossoms possible late March through April. Overnight camping is best. Come prepared to pull cholla balls off your shoes. Consider adding Imperial Dunes.

Zion National Park - so many choices. Good any time of year, but especially good in Spring and Fall.

Bryce Canyon National Park - Any time of year; at 8000 feet, it can get quite cold in winter.

Hanksville area - Capitol Reef, Factory Butte, badlands, etc

Badlands of New Mexico (Bisti Wilderness, etc) - mid October-mid December, March-May 15.

Gold Butte National Monument, Little Finland - October 15-April 15
