Photographing Namibia

Namibia is a unique desert country along the southern portion of the west coast of Africa. It offers outstanding photographic opportunities, including the Quiver Tree Forest, the Kolmanskop Ghost Town, Deadvlei with its dead trees set against giant orange sand dunes, and Walvis Bay with sand dunes reaching to the ocean. Under the shadows of Spitzkoppe, the Himba tribe live a primitive lifestyle with little water. To the north are many game preserves and the immense Etosha National Park.
