There is so much to see and photograph at Joshua Tree National Park. The problem is there aren't enough mornings and evenings in a day. It's just not the same at noon. Having been to this location on previous evenings and mornings with unexciting skies, I intentionally traveled to the Cholla Gardens when it looked like the skies might cooperate. They did! The colorful sky enhances the light as it seems to be magnified by the needles on these Teddy Bear Cholla. If you haven't been around them, know that they aren't as friendly as their name sounds.
